Old West Fun at NEBRASKAland Days Group Tour

Day 1


2:00pm -3:00pm – Cody Park
Tour Cody Park the sight of the Buffalo Bill’s first Wild West Show and the Cody Park Train Museum.  The museum features the only Challenger 3900 series steam locomotive on public display, accompanied by a 6900 series diesel locomotive. These two locomotives have a combined horsepower of more than 12,000. Also on display a fully restored railroad depot, several rail cars, and caboose and railroad Memorabilia. – Cost: Free


3:15pm – 4:30pm – Golden Spike Tower & Visitor
Step out onto an eight story enclosed deck and view the world’s largest rail yard, Union Pacific Bailey Yards. North Platte’s newest attraction features an outdoor deck at seven stories, gift shop, educational displays and informational kiosks.  Center Cost: $6.


5:00pm – 6:30pm – Dinner

Dinner at one of our fine locally owned restaurants.


6:45pm – 7:15 – Hotel

Go back to your hotel and put on your cowboy hat and boots and get ready for a Rooten’ Tooten’ good time at the Frontier Revue


7:30pm -9:30pm – Frontier Revue

The Frontier Revue is a theatrical production that depicts actual events and characters from Nebraska’s frontier heritage through music, comedy, dancing and fun. Cost $8 for adults.

8:00-9:00am – Flap Jack Feed

Flap Jack Feed has a long tradition at NEBRASKAland Days and is a great way to start your weekend of activities.  The North Platte Jaycees will serve a complete breakfast with all-you-can-eat flapjacks.  Cost $6 per Person.


9:00am – 10:30am -The Antique Car Show

This show is one of the largest in western Nebraska consisting of hundreds of antique, customized and one- of-a-kind vehicles from days gone by.  Free.


10:45am – 11:45am – Lunch

At the Lunch with the Wild Bunch enjoy the Bratwurst Buffet with the North Platte Hostesses and Ambassadors.


12:00pm – 1:30pm – Antique Car Parade

Can you hear the rumble of the engines? Well you can at the Antique Car Parade.   The antique cars will make their way to North Platte’s Downtown to help kick off a fun and memorable afternoon.


10:30am – 11:30pm – NEBRASKAland Days Competitive Art Show
Hosted by the North Platte Art Guild, this juried art show features two and three dimensional pieces. Free.


3:30pm 4:30pm – Buffalo Bill State Historical Park
The group will then tour Buffalo Bills home and Barn where he lived while he toured the country with his Wild West Show. Cost: CVB will provide Park Pass.


4:30pm -5:30pm – Lincoln County Historical Museum

At the Lincoln County Historical Museum visitors can tour the Western Heritage Village and view memorabilia from the historic North Platte World War II Canteen.
Cost $3 per person.


5:45pm – 6:40pm – Hotel
Go back to the hotel and Cowboy Up for the Rodeo!


7:00pm- 10:00pm – Rodeo
Eat at the rodeo with the rodeo fans. You will enjoy a large selection of food that is sure to satisfy. When you are done eating, be sure to find your seat and be entertained by the Velvet Spurs riding group at 7:00pm. Then it will be time for the main event, the PRCA Award Winning Buffalo Bill Rodeo at 8:00pm.  Rodeo is $13 per person.
